Tria and Avnet Showcase Edge-to-Cloud AI at AWS re:Invent 2025

Tria collaborates with Avnet for AWS re:Invent 2025

Tria recently collaborated with the Avnet team in the USA to have a presence at AWS re:Invent, Amazon’s annual show in Las Vegas, Nevada focused on computing and cloud connectivity.

Thanks to close collaboration between the Tria Americas team and the Supplier Technology Enablement team in Avnet, Tria showcased its hot new Vision AI Kit 6490 and our ZuBoard 1CG. Both modules were demonstrating hybrid edge and cloud computing, with vision AI used as a gesture recognition demo developed by the team in the USA. Both modules demonstrated support for AWS connectivity through Avnet’s IOTConnect tool.

Hand-Gesture Robotics Control (Qualcomm QCS6490)

Target Hardware:

Tria Vision AI-KIT 6490 – Qualcomm Dragonwing™ QCS6490 Development Kit

Description:

This demo showcased how the Qualcomm QCS6490 platform performs real-time Vision AI inference entirely at the edge. Left-hand orientation-controlled direction while the right-hand controlled speed, with the system generating ROS2 commands for a live robotics simulation and streaming inference results and telemetry into /IOTCONNECT.

Technologies Deployed:
ROS2 (jazzy), YOLOv5 Hands V2 Model, SMARC 5 Production Module

FPGA-Driven Industrial Gesture Recognition (AMD/Xilinx ZUBoard-1CG)

Target Hardware:

Tria ZUBoard – 1CG AMD Zynq® UltraScale+™ FPGA SOC

Description:

This demonstration used the ZU1CG MPSoC’s FPGA fabric to implement deterministic, low-latency gesture recognition suitable for industrial control environments. The system converted recognized gestures into control signals while publishing both inference events and system telemetry directly to IoTConnect.

Technologies Deployed:
Vitis-AI, ASL Model
